GENERAL STUDIO POLICIES

Safety
While every precaution is taken to ensure the safety of all students, TheDrawingStudio (“Studio”) is not responsible for injury before, during or after class, or while in transit. The Studio is not responsible for supervising any drop-offs or pick-ups and students are expected to arrive and leave on their own terms. Parking and arrival at the studio are up to the students or their caregiver.

Accommodations
We ask that all students inform the Studio, before the session commences, of anything they might need to know in order to meet student's educational needs. The Studio will do what it can to accommodate students, and will strive to do more. The Studio is a small private space that is unique for its hands-on teaching methods. The Studio is inside a private residence; access to non-studio areas are prohibited unless approved by the instructor.

Enrollment
All Studio classes are filled on a first come first serve basis. Because of the small number of available spots in each class, deposits to hold an available spot are not possible. Tuition is due in full in advance to the first day of class. Because the classes follow a set curriculum, new students cannot be added after the first week of class. All tuition is nonrefundable. Missed classes are not credited. Make-up classes are not offered.

Each class is developed for a specific age, stage and skill level of drawing expertise. As such, there are no exceptions to the indicated age range of any class. Do not sign a student up for a class if they are not in the age bracket indicated.

Documentation and Release
Students hereby consent to the use of their name, likeness, and biographical information by Studio for its own teaching purposed, featuring on its Website, social media platforms, newsletters and other outreach and publicity.

Force Majeure
Studio shall not be liable or responsible to Student nor deemed to have defaulted under or breached this Agreement, for any failure or delay in fulfilling or performing any term of this Agreement, when and to the extent such a failure or delay is caused by or results from any Act of God or force majeure, including, without limitation, weather, fire, flood, or other uncontrollable natural elements, acts of the public enemy, massive power outages, interruption of transportation facilities, major cyber-security breaches, and all global and/or foreign and/or domestic federal and/or domestic state and /or city "state of emergency" and/or "public health emergencies" inclusive of epidemics or pandemics and/or anything of the like, and the exercise of eminent domain by the governmental authority, strike, labor dispute, civil commotion, riot, terrorist act, war or threat of violence or similar cause beyond the party's control. If the force majeure event prevents Studio from holding classes Studio shall have the right to retain all tuition.

Governing law and consent to Jurisdiction

Community Agreement
The Studio is a creative environment where students are encouraged to embrace trying new things and be open to the discomfort of not knowing. This type of judgment-free environment requires the studio be free of harassment, discrimination, sexism, and threatening or disrespectful behavior, whether in person or online. The Studio reserves the right to expel, suspend, or cancel admission to classes at any time for any student who engages in prohibited conduct. The Studio strives for a sense of belonging for all, and for the students to feel heard, and seen and valued just as they are. We aim to be useful, mindful, and specific in our art dialogues, and to support one another, while withstanding some discomfort of the unknown or the awkward. The Studio is committed to freedom of inquiry, while valuing civility and mutual respect.
